Auto-materiality engages the re-presentation of acknowledged familiarity. The wet cast figure is slowly fed by its own material which suggests both nourishment and sustainability, this is presented in marked contrast to the glazed finished figure which remains constant and devoid of pyhsical change. The duality of juxtaposed representation is continually altered through time-based activity where the replecated image is slowly deconstructed.
