I first saw this piece at the Limerick City Art Gallery and thought it was a wonderfully inventive and crafted allegory on the Troubles in Ulster. The way in which Andrew transposed such grotesque social commentary into the familiar of Blue and White willow style patterning was totally brilliant. It seems really just perfect to see it displayed against the backdrop of a New York skyline with New York having such a large Irish population.
